Bushida
- Scientific name: Bucida buceras/ Dwarf geometry tree
- Place of origin: Mexico.
- Description: Bucida grows into a stately tree, about 12m in height, with branches spreading horizontally, in layers. Leaves are tiny, bright and light green on these branches, giving an effect of a graceful arrangement of feathery circles on the tree. Flowers and fruits are insignificant.
- Grow best: In full sunlight, well-drained soil.
- Use: Mainly used as ornamental trees in landscaping. The termite resistant wood is also valuable in the timber industry finding use in construction sites, railroad ties and pilings.
