• Known as: Moth Orchid
  • Place of origin: South East Asia, India, China.
  • Description: These orchids have a single stem with ten or more leaves; the flowers appear in a raceme or a panicle between the leaves in a bright colour for several weeks. There are about 60 species and several hybrids.
  • Grow best: In indirect sunlight, with damp potting media, sufficient watering that can be reduced once the blooms appear.
  • Use: Ornamental indoors and for landscaping outdoors.
